Hello ShaunJUK,

Welcome to the Buzz.

You need to contact Acer Customer Service. If you are in warranty, you may have to pay a shipping charge. Are you the initial owner of your C100? If so, with your serial number, matters will be simpler.

I am not the original owner, I bought it second hand (at least) from a local computer clearance sale, the stickers are all on it but it is definately still not under warranty.

Thanks

Your tablet should be in portrait mode when it's rotated. If it isn't, click on the icon in your task bar that says "Tablet and Pen Settings" and change the orientation.

There is no portrait mode in there, should I change the drivers to the ones of the acer website?

Did you actually put Tablet PC Edition of XP on? That could be the problem...

As for disks? I've been trying to get a set for my old Aspire 1350 (regular 15" notebook) for 3 months and as of yet I haven't even had the courtesy of a reply I need to find a phone number becaseu their e-mail replies suck.

ShaunJUK, How did you install XP Tablet Edition from this site? I don't think you could have done that. Do you have the "Tablet and Pen Settings" icon in your task bar? If so, you can click on Properties and change your orientation. Which drivers on the Acer website are you talking about?

Lastline, where are you posting from? If it's from the UK, the tech support phone number is on the Acer UK site. There is a tech support number on the US site as well.

I get the following error

quote:

The setting you requested cannot be supported.
Open display in Control Panel, adjust the settings, and then try to change orientation again.

Congratulations. You might want to post which drivers you downloaded for anyone else who might be having the same problem.

How EXACTLY did you manage to reinstall Windows XP TabletPC Edition without the Recovery CD ... I am in nearly the same situation.

My harddrive died ... I replaced it ... I obviously need to install Tablet Edition .. I can't find the Recovery CD.

Please ... I have exhausted all other resources ... including upper tier technical support/customer service at Acer!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to contact me off forum for speed's sake.

If you replaced the hard drive yourself, that leads me to believe that you are not under warranty. If Acer will not give you the CDs, then you must be asking us how to obtain the CDs illegally, or I am misunderstanding your question.
