My Tablet PCs: T4010 |

Well, my T4010 shipped yesterday (from Fujitsu in Japan to Anchorage, Alaska), and according to Fujitsu it has a Food and Drug Administration hold on it. I guess they were worried about how much I wanted my computer, and assumed it was packed with illegal narcotics.
If the FDA is watching this, please let my computer go, or the masses will protest.
FREE T4010! FREE T4010! FREE T4010!
*shout with me*
FREE T4010! FREE T4010! FREE T4010!
The good news is, it should arrive Monday. *sigh* :D |

Thanks robrahm! If only more people thanked me for my thoughts, I might be motivated to think more often. ;) |

Every batch of Fujitsu's were ordered lately have been 'inspected' by the FDA. At least so far no one has skimmed anything. Wish I could say the same for airline inspectors/ baggage handlers.
The 4010 is an awesome machine (for a convertible), you'll love it. |

XDS, don't get me too excited. I have to wait *all* weekend. Also, where do they store the emergency Hashish? Behind the battery? |

Jim - CONGRATS! Make sure you post a lot to tell us all what the T4010 is all about!!!
Shipping update: Feb 5, 2024 12:36 AM LOUISVILLE KY , US IMPORT SCAN
My T4010 has officially been declared by the FDA as a safe edible food, or dietary supplement. Yay!
Stan - there are enough trial versions and freebies to keep me busy for a while! (gobinder, physics illustrator, artrage, mathjournal, etc.) Can't wait to start scanning in my textbooks. |

Daniel & Jim,
I'd like to know if you did/will upgrade the memory or HDD. If so, what are you upgrading to, where did you buy the memory from, etc, etc. Does the 4010 come with two memory slots?? |

There are two memory slots on the 4010. They are both user accessible and located under a removable cover on the bottom of the computer. I ordered mine w/ a single 512mb stick, and then ordered a second 512mb stick from newegg.com and installed it when my computer arrived. |

What kind of memory does it take? And, may I ask how much you paid for it? |

I bought this: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-208-003&depa;=0 I dont remember what I paid when I got it, but it was in this pricerange.
The 4010 takes 200pin SODIMM PC2700 (DDR333) sticks. It will support 1gb sticks as well, with 2gb being the max total suppored RAM (1gb stick in each slot). The manual that comes w/ the computer covers all this too, I think. |
