I'm right there with you. While I use XP, 2K Advanced Server, 2003 SBS Server, and a slew of other OS's in my job... I had 98SE as my primary home OS until just recently. It also runs all of my home automation code... and I was almost afraid to mess with it!
But then, you can carry this to extremes. Had a guy tell me the other day that WinME was the only OS worth running. Egads!

For what it is worth, I think Windows ME is Microsoft weakest, least stable operating system. It has some good plug-and-play installation features, but crashes more the Windows 98SE [Microsoft's most stable O/S of the non-NT based O/S].
You are right-on Giz.
Added on edit: BTW, as you know, you are correct on the convert utility for changing the file systems of the boot partition. I have never had a bad experience in doing so.
Well everything is running great except for the pen driver, of course. I don't get any errors on boot so I guess I can't help you there sid. I used the driver portion of your 'how to' to get one of those unknown devices to work, which was the batteryaid, but thats about as far as I could get. I went to fujitsu and downloaded the pen drivers again for windows 2k and extracted it to c:\pen. Then I tried to update the driver, all was going well until it finnished doing its thing and said "Cannot install this hardware" "There was a problem installing this hardware: System" I guess I have some more dicking around to do with this beast.
