What does the SW in "Pivot SW" mean -- switch? software? If they provide a special driver that automatically changes the screen orientation when you rotate the screen I could see where that might not co-exist with a tablet's own rotation software. But you should be able to either disable that or use a generic driver. I can't think of anyway the actual hardware would be incompatable--a vga port is a vga port.
Let us know if you find out more. I was surprised at how many rotateable LCD's were at Fry's on my last visit.
You will have to talk with Samsung, I am through dealing with them. They do not respond to emails or when they do they say their system is down or is being modified. When you call, you have 5 layers of autommated attendents to go through to get a real live person. I got what I needed which was they said it was not compatable. How or why makes no difference to me.
My guess is the SW is not compatable.
I might suggest you talk with Fujitsu technical support, ask for Troy if you can get him and he can explain what Fujitsu's position is on the situation at this time. They recognize it is an issue.
The company that makes "Display to go" Margi have discontinued the product and the Ultra man suggestion looks like a "no go" also.
You can still have your external large monitor especially if it is a flat screen just put it on Egrtron 300 or 100 and you can physically rotate the external moniotor 360 degrees either direction. The neoflex only rotates 90 degrees clockwise which is not enough to solve the issue.
Be forewarned for an external moniotor with the Fuj T4010D the max recommended resolution per Fujitsu is 1600 x 1200--reason more than that the screen gets distorted. I asked how distorted-- 3 drinks or 10 drinks and Troy said probably 3.
Slates don't have the issue with external monitor since they do not have a screen that needs to be rotated 180 degrees and laid down. So if the external monitor is a big issue and you don't want a mechanical fix, look at the slates.
