TabletPCBuzz.com - fujitsu T4010 freezing screen

Hi everyone , I just bought a fujitsu T4010 , and have a problem, sometime the screen freeze with some vertical flickering stripes ,,with every applications blocked , the only way is to shut down the machine and restart it . I'm very concerned as it happens quite often . Has anybody have an idea of what it could be and how to solve it?!!!!
The only time I had vertical line problems on a notebook it was because the video was fried on the integrated video on the motherboard. That was with my apple iBook (which I just sold to help pay for my tablet). Since Fujitsu says the drivers are up to date, it's most likely hardware, but follow Treo's advice and try a reinstall just to make sure. You might want to call support too, since they may have a troubleshooting diagnostic you need to run before you can send it in for a repair. Good luck!
thanks for your answer , i `ve noticed something else , actually this problem seems to happen only when i plug my machine on sector , i don't have that problem when using it with battery, and an another friend in the same building told me the electricity is not stable , so do you think it comes from the fluctuation of the electricity?, the thing i don't understand is why the desktop pc doesn't crash in that case?
l_l, are you still having the vertical lines problem?
You might want to invest in a good UPS system that does voltage regulation (trim + boost is supposed to cover too little + too much).
The APC Back-UPS RS 1500 can be had for less than $200 (I know, a lot of money if you're on a budget), as an example. At the very least, a cheap surge protector should protect you from the extreme surges that can happen with bad wiring. Good luck!
