Acer
Another question... How do you set up an infrared connection with a pocket pc? I can't seem to get Acer to accept an infrared connection. I have done the following steps:
1. Added Infrared device and connected to COM3 2. Enabled Infrared connection via Wireless Link under control panel 3. Enabled ActiveSync 3.8 for Infrared Connection 4. Tried reduced speed to 9600
First, you have to enable the IR port on the Tablet. It appears you have done so. Then, after all you have done, go to Activesync on the pocketpc, and under "tools" hit connect via IR. Should do it for you. IR shouldn't be COM3, it should be its own option under connection settings on Activesync 3.8 on the tablet. Maybe the 303 is a little different than the 302 but I can't imagine that it is that much.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will try it tonight and report back to the forum. Seemingly, it initially mapped the IR to COM3 by default when I added the "IR via Serial Cable" device driver. Is there a freeware that will monitor the IR connection? Also, how fast can the IR go? 9600b? Thanks.
On the PocketPC go to start/settings/connections (3rd tab over) . Click on beam and be sure the "accept incoming" is checked. Although you shouldn't HAVE to do this, it may help fix your problem.
