I have acer c110 its just over a year old and is used for 8-10 hours a day in both tablet mode and docked to a larger screen.

But to day the latch on the inside- screen side broke off it is only a small pice of plastic, what can i do about it? can i get a new latch and fix it myself. i know this is a common problem with the model what have other people done about it.

up until now the computer has preformed very well.

I had to send mine in to be repaired. Had it back in a week. I doubt they will send you the part but you can always try. Good luck!

Mine just broke as well. Luckily for me, mine is just under a year old. No problems dealing with support. It seems its a well known issue.

Thanks for the help, i think i will live with it for now. cant do with out my computer for a week
