The battery for my C111 would only be $103.70 from them, which is much cheaper than I've seen it anywhere else. It comes with a full 12-month warranty (seems like lots of other after markets only have 90 days). Anyone have an opinion? TIA - sheurekahttp://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22199C300 digitizer in Ubuntu (Linux)I've heard stories that people have gotten Linux to read input from their tablet screen on a TMC300 series. Detailed info on this is pretty sparse though.

The wacom linux project confuses me greatly-- With help, I've been able to use their code to get my usb wacom tablet to work in debian, but I'm not smart enough to do it on my own now. I used Synaptic (apt-get interface) to set up the wacom-tools package, and tried to follow along from chapter 4, which has a single paragraph for c100s.

http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/index.php/howto/wacdump

using their exact commands yeilds the following response:
"WacomOpenTablet: Invalid argument"

I read this guide: http://www.umich2.com/files/2004/12/linux_on_the_ac.html , modified xorg.conf, restarted and then simply typed the line `setserial /dev/ttyS0 port 0x06f8 autoconfig` as /etc/rc.d/rc.local doesn't exist on my machine, but I still get no response, and running `wacdump -f c100 /dev/ttyS0` doesn't appear to take any input from it.

It looks like this (some whitespace deleted):
--------------------------------------------------------
wacdump v0.5.2

MODEL=Acer C100 Tablet PC Screen ROM=0.0-0
CLS=Serial VNDR=Acer DEV=C100 SUB=C100

TOOLTYPE=NONE SERIAL=0x00000000
IN_PROX=+00000 (+00000 .. +00000) BUTTON=+00000 (+00000 .. +00000)
POS_X=+00000 (+00000 .. +21136) POS_Y=+00000 (+00000 .. +15900)
PRESSURE=+00000 (+00000 .. +00255)

LEFT= MIDDLE= RIGHT= EXTRA=
SIDE= TOUCH= STYLUS= STYLUS2=

ReadRaw: -1 (20)
--------------------------------------------------------
None of the values change, no matter how I move the stylus in front of the screen. The number by ReadRaw continues to count upward.

I'm not sure if the hex number I'm using for my port in setserial is correct. I have no idea where this number comes from, and have seen 3 different ones from different sources. It would be really cool if I could get this working. Debian and Ubuntu are very similar. Please post your advice.

extra info:
This is a TMC302x-mi which broke, so they put a new TMC303x-mi motherboard in it. My device manager detects a lot of stuff, but nothing jumps out at me as being the tablet device. Um, and Ubuntu is really a relief after trying to use debian on a laptop.http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22128Bigger Resolution on C11xIs there a way to set the primary screen's resolution on a C11x (mine is C111) to something bigger then 1024 x 768? The only 2 options on the default Intel driver is this and 800 x 600.

Thanks in advance, Crawlerhttp://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22169Enabling ctrl, alt, del, loginI have been trying to work out how to enable the CTRL, ALT, DEL login for ages on tablet PC edition. Had a bit of trouble setting the DVD to DMA2 (from PIO), but everything is well!

Now as I've only had the tablet five days, it's about time I created my own bootable Windows XP Tablet disc.... here's the problem.

I followed this thread - http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7454&SearchTerms=tablet

My PC came with ver. 2005 and when I've done all the copying of files (including those pesky "oembios" ones) my image file is 715MB.

So "bcd" will not burn it from dos.

I got around this by not inserting a CD into the drive - and when the dos screen asked me to insert, I copied the iso file from the temp directory.

The using Nero, I "overburnt" it on my main pc with a Plextor 4012.

So, I've got around the problem, but I was wondering...

a) whether all the files are necessary (what about those Media Centre ones in the COMPONENTS folder?

or

b) whether it's possible for someone to direct me how to burn a bootable DVD. Which would enable me to put all the driver files on the same disc!

Thanks once again for some great threads here!

Best wishes,

Nobby.

http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22148XP Tablet Edition Please HelpHi,

does anyone know if games like the Sims 2 ( which is compatiable with regular XP) will work on xp tablet edition? Worried it might not have the processing power I need, only a 800Mhz p3 w/256 megs of ram. I'm sure the ram's easy enough to upgrade but what about the processor? Or if any one's used this tablet, how does it perform?

Thanks!http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22088Acer C300 Batteries For SaleGot an extra regular battery for the C300 series for sale as well as a battery that goes in the optical slot.

Posting here so you Acer fans can snag it in case you want some more battery life! :)

See this thread: http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22130

-arebelspyhttp://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22131Franklin Covey CaseThe thread about dropping the tablet made me start thinking about cases.
