Due date without reminder?

when I create a new task using TEO and assign it a due date, it automatically adds a reminder for 8:00�a.m. on the due date. How can I set a due date on a task without setting a reminder time?

Why Standard Outlook form from OneNote?

If I choose Create New Task/Contact/Appointment in OneNote while Outlook 2003 is open, THEO works fine. If Outlook is closed, I get the standard Outlook task/contact/appointment form. Is this how it's supposed to work?

TEO Suggestions

I've just installed the trial of TEO and must say that so far I'm quite impressed. I've got a couple of suggestions that have come to mind so far:

1. A dotted or faint guideline to write on so that descenders don't get chopped off - kind of like writing with TIP. I also find the space a little vertically challenged for my handwriting, but then again I've only had my Tablet for 2 days now and I'm still gelting accustomed to writing on the screen.

2. The ability to activate TIP when the year is selected in Birthdate and Anniversary in the new contact screen. It can take awhile to scroll back to 1943 when entering a birthday. When I select the year, The year highlights up, but the floating TIP icon doesn't appear. Another alternative I suppose would be a drop-down list, but this would have to be rather large considering all the years that one might want to enter there.

3. The deal breaker for me might be the Postal Code entries. Whenever I enter a Canadian postal code, TEO converts it to a five-digit ZIP code. Particularly frustrating as I am Canadian and so are 99.5% of my contacts. For instance, my postal code is T9A 3P2, but TEO insists on entering 19392 into the postal code field on conversion. FYI, Canadian postal codes are always letter, number, letter, space, number, letter, number.

4. When entering an appointment, I'd like the ability to select the start and end times from a list. Datebook 5 on the Palm platform has a particularly good time-entering screen if you've seen DB5 ever.

5. Sometimes I prefer to enter a duration rather than an end time and let then computer calculate the end time for me. Perhaps another habit I've gotten into because of DB5. I'd like to request that this be added into a future release of TEO.

6. When I set up appointments, I frequently don't want an alarm to ring (i.e. no alarm). Perhaps an option in the unit drop down list (minutes, hours. etc.) for "No Alarm". Perhaps there's another easy way to set no alarm. If so, please enlighten me.

All in all, quite an impressive add-in, but these issues, especially the postal code issue may keep me waiting for a future update.

Support for non-US locales?

Hi Josh/all,

I finally fulfilled a year long dream and now own a Tablet PC. Unfortunately, I've discovered to much dismay that Outlook has no ink support at all!

I thought Tablet Enhancements would be the answer, but I'm having some problems with it. Namely, contacts is unusable because it fails to recognise any of my phone numbers, states or postcodes.

I live in Australia, and here we have 8-digit phone numbers and 10-digit mobile phone numbers (I'd preferably like everything in the form +61 X XXXXXXXX). Tablet Extensions insists on recognising every phone number as 7-digits... I can't get it to recognise even XXXX-XXXX no matter what I do!

A similar problem exists with my 4-digit post codes being changed to 5-digit and 3-character states being changed to 2-character.

My Office language settings are correct:

However I think Tablet Extensions is in US English mode because it shows my ink in red most of the time.

Is there anything I can do to get this to work? I wouldn't mind paying $40 for it if it all worked, but I can't really justify spending $40 for just ink support in tasks and calendar (I don't use journal).

Is it registered?

I just bought 2.0; when I try to enter my product key, it doesn't seem to "take." That is, if I pick the register menu again, it appears to ask me to re-register. Also, if I pick the registration menu and enter my info, I get two additional registration dialogs, both asking that I enter my info. It is only after entering the info three times that the dialogs go away - and even in this case, the registration doesn't seem to "take."

Error message when I change orientation

Hi, on my Toshiba M200 with Outlook 2003, after installing Tablet Enhancements for Outlook I get three message boxes after changing the orientation of my screen. Each reads 'Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.' The version number of TEO is 2.0.1723.7040. Any ideas? Also running SP2.

Turning off allarms

When I set a task on a due date, TEO 2 seems to set the alarm automatically. How can I stop that from happening?

Demo problem

I downloaded the demo at home on my tablet. Opened up Outlook, saw the toolbar and menu heading, but did not try it out. When I docked my tablet the next morning at the office Outlook would not open right. When I restarted my computer and opened Outlook I could not find any sign of TEO. I downloaded it again but still cannot find it.

Any Ideas?

Can't Enter Ink

I am looking for some help getting started. I have just installed TEO. I have opened Outlook 2003 and have the "Tablet PC" menu option. When I click on it I get the ink contact, ink journal... options. When I select these, I only have the option to enter with the key board. I can not enter ink. The "view in Tablet Mode" button does not seem to do anything. What am I missing?
